As the Community Manager for Popeyes from 2021-2022, I was able to leverage the witty tone that the brand was known for on social media to spark a number of viral moments across TikTok and Twitter (now known as X). These social interactions reinforced Popeyes’ advantageous place in pop culture at the time and resulted in significant follower growth.

It was such a great example of the brand’s signature tone, pop culture blogs shared it on their own social channels. The interaction was even featured on television that week.
TIKTOK
Thanks to the platform’s powerful algorithm, engaging with user-generated content proved to be the most effective strategy for follower growth for Popeyes’ new TikTok account.
As a result of my community engagement on TikTok, Popeyes saw over 200% increase in followers from June through July 2022.
